Irregular Devils is a special name in Heavenly Dragon Kings Rebirth, given to the three devils from history that were spawned from the Great War but not being spawned by Lilith or Morning Star. They are considered unique devils because of this fact and as such typically faced fear or mistrust from other devils, with Alastor being the only unique case, becoming friends of the 4 Original Great Satans. While Alastor died at the hands of Zekram Bael, it is unknown what happened to the other two, as they have currently disappeared from Devil Society. The three devils are known as Alastor, Nemesis, and Kairos.
Summary[]
The existence of Irregular Devils was first mentioned in Volume 5 of Heavenly Dragon Kings Rebirth, after touching the tombstone of his father in the Gremory Territory he starts to have visions of his Seth's life, such as him training and playing with Sirzechs as a young boy, training, and then he hears the term first from Zekram when he describes Alastor as a "Irregular Devil". He then confronts Ajuka about the term, where Ajuka explains it clearly, they were devils not spawned from Lilith or Morning Star and instead were typically spirits that became devils. Not much is known how this process was possible or how to replicate such a thing, but Ajuka speculates that it might have been the corruption or malevolent left behind by all the violence in the Underworld, which explains why all three of them were very powerful and very violent and malicious.
Because of Seth Alastor being birthed from a regular devil woman and irregular devil it was unknown by other devils what to categorize Seth Alastor as, as he could be considered either however after Ichiro drinks Maou blood and it has no effect on him, he later learns that in fact he is a irregular devil, as a regular devil would've felt their strength and demonic power amplified by the blood. However despite Maou blood not working on him, he in fact can grow stronger by using things like King's Pills, Evil Pieces, and even possessing demonic power that he is a devil by nature. Because they are irregular devils not rooted in Morning Star or Lilith, Morning Star is shown unable to replicate or copy their unique abilities, with only their direct descendants being able to inherit these abilities, making them very unique compared to the 72 Pillars, Extra Demons, or Satan Families.

Alastor[]
Alastor is the most famous of the three Irregular Devils. Alastor was originally a weak and unknown spirit that haunted those of blood feuds and retribution, and cursing humans to death for over a century however after being exorcised by a wandering priest he was sent to the Underworld rather than exterminated, there in the Underworld due to the malicious and blood filled area he was transformed into a devil. During his first night as a devil he was attacked by two fallen angels who believed him to be apart of the Satan Army, he killed both with incredible ease. After making his way to the Satan Capital he was captured and studied by the Four Great Satans. After deciding that he was in fact a devil with immense demonic power he began to get noticed by Morning Star and Lucifer, eventually becoming their chief torturer and scientist.
Overtime however, other devils began to realize Alastor was in fact a psychopath who had no remorse or concern for others, not even other devils. He then created the Crowley Pit and used it as his main hunting ground for experimentation and torture, gaining the nickname of The Mad King Scientist. Under the Great Satans he tortured thousands of angels, fallen angels, exorcists, and even other devils who were traitors. When the Great War began to slow down due to a brief pause, Alastor went into retirement as he began to focus on his own projects, spending ten years experimenting on his own soul. While trying to give himself the dark light power that belonged to Satan when he consumed the soul of a fallen angel he unintentionally caused his soul to twist and distort, giving him the power to manipulate his own soul. Using this ability he later realized he could pass certain traits of this power to his various lovers turning them into soul eaters.
Eventually the Great Satans began to find out about this, wanting to end this peacefully in order to protect their prized torturer and warrior however the Lord Zekram Bael at this time had his own ideas in mind, sending the Raim Clan King, Seere clan Queen, and Andras clan King in order to kill Alastor. Alastor using his harem members that became Soul Eaters slaughtered all three of them and their families which is why this form of combat was named "King Slayer Technique" because using it he was able to kill three devil Kings/Queen and kill their families thus aiding in the families extinctions (however the Raim Clan managed to survive through to a deal with some Bael branch family members). It was then Zekram Bael himself, using a army of high class devils killed the Original Alastor and his harem members who had become Soul Eaters. Zekram Bael after the battle soon found a small baby boy in the cage, known as Seth Alastor, not wanting to kill the child he eventually turned him over to Zeoticus Gremory, knowing the Gremory Family was his only chance to have a childhood where he didn't face hatred and discrimination.
Nemesis[]
Nemesis was the second irregular devil, not much is known about her past other than Beelzebub found the girl in a battle field, where he destroyed a group of angels and fallen angels. He then found the girl interesting so rather than kill her or treat her as a war orphan he raised her, eventually finding out she possessed immense demonic energy. She would curse those to death who angered her and eventually finding out that due to her twisted sense of justice and her inability to be satisfied and controlled unlike Alastor, he eventually tried to kill her, causing her to flee to the human world. She however would continue to grow in strength and power and stories of her slaying powerful enemies would reach the ears of the Satan Faction who were ready in case she came back for revenge.
Nemesis also made a brief appearance in the Devil Civil War where she fought with the New Satan Faction due to wanting the descendants of Beelzebub to suffer greatly, wanting to destroy all living remnants of his existence from all of past, future, and present due to her feeling betrayed by him. After the conclusion of the Devil Civil War, after feeling satisfied she disappeared despite the New Satan Faction attempt to keep her on radar. Not much is known about her.
Kairos[]
Another irregular devil who was born from Fallen Angels who experimented with Eldritch Magic in the Underworld in order to create a Devil Weapon they could use to masquerade with other devils and destroy their armies from the inside, fallen angels studied eldritch magic in secret despite being forbidden by Azazel until they eventually created a devil boy with dull and dark eyes. They then began to train him to fight but most importantly to kill devils. However Kairos had other ideas, wanting to learn more about the beings he was inspired from he began to study and watch devils from afar, however he would get disappointed by how weak they were and would eat them, causing him to gain the name Devil Eater. Overtime the fallen angels that created him began to fear his desires for bloodshed and cannibalism and so they abandoned him out of fear.
He eventually grew up however suffering from bleeding he typically had to get stitches placed all over his body to prevent "the darkness" from leaking out of him. One day while stalking beautiful devil women bathing he realized he had perverted instincts inside of him, he then tried to join devil society, however because of his malicious aura he was typically feared by lower class devils, he then met Lilith who decided to use him as her weapon, revealing in him a new desire, to create rather than destroy, however he wasn't capable of such. When Lilith disappeared after the Great War, Kairos eventually disappeared as well, being considered M.I.A most assumed he died with Lilith in the final battle against Heaven.
Abilities[]
Immense Demonic Power: All three of these irregular devils were shown to be very powerful devils with immense demonic power, they were all considered to be on par to Ultimate-Class Devils or Cadre-Class Fallen Angels. Nemesis was noted to be the highest in terms of demonic energy however it's unknown how all three would fare in a fight.
Power of Souls[]
also known as Crown of the Mad Devil King", "Thesis of the Mad King", and "King Slayer Technique" is the powerful technique that was created by Alastor after consuming the souls of fallen angels and preforming experiments on himself and others. The Power of Souls allowed him to manipulate his soul or the souls of others as living weapons, being able to create powerful Soul Flames that had beating hearts, control monsters, spirits, and even create monsters or weapons out of his soul or others. The Power of Souls was considered the most dangerous technique, and Alastor used it's ability to wipe out 2 of the 72 Pillar Households until his inevitable demise by Zekram Bael's army.
He would however give this technique to his descendants, Seth Alastor and Ichiro Alastor, showcasing that this ability is in fact hereditary, having become the Alastor Family's unique clan ability.
Power of Vengeance[]
also known as Malicious Diablos Arm of Revenge is the powerful technique that belonged to Nemesis, however unlike Alastor she was born with it rather than creating it. The Power of Vengeance allowed her to create a demon arm with a single eye that she could use to "punish" others, whether they fit the crime or not, being able to manipulate the vengeance how she saw fit. The arm would then punish them based off the circles of Hell depending on what sin she gives them.
The arm is shown to be capable of producing powerful violent winds, ice rain, manipulate gravity, or seal her opponents in fire or ice tombs and even drown them in blood based off the vengeance she sees fit. However in order to make these take effect she has to touch the enemies with her Diablos Arm before draining their demonic energy.
Power of Despair[]
The unique ability of Kairos that he developed as a result of his contact with Lilith, while studying and learning more about himself. The Power of Despair seem to be rooted in the eldritch magic that was used to create him by fallen angels. He also needs his wings out in order to use these abilities. Kairos can create eldritch runes and use the magic of said magic system without the effects that eldritch magic typically does to the body, mind, and souls of others, making him very feared across other factions because of this. He was able to create a rune that would corrupt anything that entered into madness or completely break it down from the inside out and he would later name this technique Breakdown that could break down the structure of objects, magic spells, and even being able to use this rune to remove sacred gears from users, which killed them, the fallen angels however learned to copy this to remove sacred gears from humans with a ritual.
He could also create a rune of Nihilism that would cause others to feel hopelessness, despair, fear, or betrayal if they got too close to him. He typically used this power on his victims who he would then eat due to the feeling of despair and hopelessness they would feel. He could also remove his body, showcasing a monster made of darkness with over a dozen eyes, demonic tentacles, and three rows of teeth however Lilith didn't allow him to use said technique. Distort was his most powerful rune as it allowed him to change the area of any environment he was in based off his own desire by using a pitch black fog, he was able to cover a entire forest in this fog, turning it into a frozen wasteland, he however is shown to only be able to use Distort on environments and not living beings however they can be affected by this distortion of environment.
Weaknesses[]
The primary weakness is that they are unable to be replicated due to the circumstances regarding their births and origins being very unique, with several attempts to recreate the irregular devils, even by Morning Star, all ending in failures. Due to the influence of the Great War on their very souls all three are shown to have violent or evil streaks, with Alastor being a literal psychopath and Kairos committing cannibalism on other devils due to enjoying the taste while also being very homicidal before becoming Lilith's servant. While both were capable of being controlled by the Great Satans, their sadism and terror reached heights that even other devils feared. Being devils they also have all the common weaknesses of devil such as the inability to speak or pray to God, light magic and manipulation, as well as holy water and crosses.
Trivia[]
- All Three of the Irregular Devils are based off the Daemons or Spirits from Greek mythology.
- In order to summon one of the Irregular Demons for a pact they needed to meet them at a crossroad, this along with Fraust is what started the myth that the only way to contact devils was through the crossroads. In order to summon Alastor the user needed to use a murder weapon at the center with his sigils surrounding it, in order to summon Nemesis the user needed to use her sigil with candles of a scent she found favorable (the user also needed to have a immense desire for retribution), and the only way to summon Kairos was human body parts and eldritch sigils, in fact those who tried to summon the Eldritch terrors would sometimes accidentally summon Kairos who was known to kill them, after being tamed by Lilith he began to accept candy and other treats and would fulfill requests instead of just murdering his summoners.
