Well, dear old grandfather has mercy on this sinful soul, if it isn't my little brothers and sister.

–Ba'al upon meeting Kartikeya, Ganesha, and Ashokasundari

Ba'al is a great and powerful Emperor of Hell and the first Demon to be converted by Lucifer. He is the Ruler of the Unholy Realm of Sheol, as well as the Head General, leading 666 Lesser Generals and the main Armies of Hell. He is known amongst the Order of the Iscariot as the Archdemon of Rulers and Kings, and better known throughout the occult world under titles and aliases such as Great King of the Archdemons, Demonic False-God of the Near East, Corruptor of the Divine Pagans, Imperial Lord of the Ars Goetia, etc.

He is the oldest son of Gabriel and Shiva and is the older brother of Kartikeya, Ganesha, and Ashokasundari. He is also the sire of seventy-two other Archdemons that created the Ars Goetia.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

In his human form, Ba'al appeared as a tall and attractive young man with a muscular built. He has tanned skin, golden eyes, and long purple hair tied into a ponytail, with a single hair strand sticking out from the top. He also has two loop earrings. He is described as always having a confident and easy-going smile on his face.

He wears a floor-length purple-and-white robe, a white turban with feather decorations, and red pointed-shoes. He also wears a lot of jewelry such as bangles, necklaces, rings, etc.

His true form, however, is that of a colossal dragon-like monster, gigantic enough to swallow the entire planet Jupiter in a single bite. He has a serpent-like body with sea-green scales, four sets of limb-like fins, and spikes growing from various places on his body. He radiates an aura of pure dread and destruction in this form that could annihilate anything near him.

Personality[edit | edit source]

At first glance, Ba'al appeared as a laidback and fun-loving person. He is a very charming and flirtatious person, using his immense charm to seduce and claim anything that he desires, as shown in Chapter XXX when he seduced Hera into giving him access to the Flames of Olympus.

Phenex described him as a great and honorable king who is respected by all the Demons of the Sitra Achra, especially by those he sired whom he considered to be his own children. Despite being one of the most notorious Archdemons, he has a great sense of justice and despises those who broke the rules and orders set out by him or the other Emperors of Hell.

His mother described him to be an energetic and sensitive boy when he was young, who cherished his friends and family with all his heart. He would try his best to make his citizens safe and happy, and his kingdom remained prosperous. In Chapter XXX, Haniel recalled how he would travel from city to city in disguise to check on his people's state to find out ways for him to improve his reign.

Despite these more honorable attributes, he does possess a darker and more sinister side to him. In Chapter XXX, he gladly slaughtered an entire city filled with innocent Demons just to make sure his plans with the Armageddon remained unknown. Sitri stated that Ba'al prefers using cruel and unimaginable methods of "discipline" to make sure his subjects stayed in line, from mental ones to physical ones.

Ba'al possesses immense hatred toward his family, especially toward his mother and "grandfather". While he didn't show much hatred toward his father, he actively showed physical hatred and disgust on his face when they first met after his banishment in Chapter XXX. In Chapter XXX, he actively chased down and attacked his niece Shreya just to anger his brother Ganesha.
