A Song of Light and Darkness, is a story written by fanfiction writer Antydeth/Great Nut. It is a non-canon snippet to Highschool DxD: Rise of the Solar God which focuses on the dualistic releationship between the cosmic entities known as Amatsu-Mikaboshi and Amenominakanushi.
Sypnosis[]
Before even time began, they danced around each other. Even after the end of all things, they won't stop dancing their dance of Balance.

Note: The characters are portrayed through the aliases Hikari (for Amenominakanushi) and Yami (for Amatsu-Mikaboshi).

~~You are the Light that bring forth life…~~
Hikari:
~~And you are the Darkness that seeks to destroy it.~~
Yami:
~~We are as different as night is from day.~~
Hikari:
~~Like summer and winter, we contrast each other!~~
Yami:
~~Yet, we seek the same thing.~~
Hikari:
~~To reunite with our progenitors and destroy the other.~~
Yami:
~~But to achieve that, we always seek one another…~~
Hikari:
~~Because there can be no Darkness, without Light to shine upon it…~~
Yami:
~~And without the Darkness surrounding it, Light would not be so precious…~~
Hikari:
~~Thus started our dance, from the very beginning of time.~~
Yami:
~~All I wish for is to return the world back to the state of nihility…~~
Hikari:
~~And I want it to thrive and go even further beyond!~~
Yami:
~~You, who opposes me, I scorn you oh so badly, yet I cannot help but follow the glamour of your Light oh so gladly...~~
Hikari:
~~As am I, terrified of your Darkness, yet so often tempted by it...~~
Yami:
~~Will we ever see eye to eye?~~
Hikari:
~~Such a thing, would be a sweet lie.~~
Yami:
~~Perhaps, this is how fate intended us to be.~~
Hikari:
~~This conflict external brings me no glee.~~
Yami:
~~So many things I have learnt, thanks to you…~~
Hikari:
~~You cursed me with the gift of fear, thus making me more human..~~
Yami:
~~Warm, passionate and bright…~~
Hikari:
~~Cold, passionless and dark…~~
Both:
~~That is what you are!~~
Hikari:
~~So, I will bathe in the brilliance of my Light…~~
Yami:
~~And I shall dance in the silence of my Darkness…~~
Both:
~~Until you are no more.~~
